But surely that's for no more than a few seconds? Crew puts blind down, passes meal through. Throw apologetic look at passenger in seat opposite and then hit the button to raise it again....
From what I saw on a pair of recent CW flights, they (the crew) put down the screen between passengers & left them down for the duration of the meal service.
As I was travelling with "Mrs Kered" it didn't matter.
