OT, but WN pretty much has a fortress-like grasp on ISP to the point where they seem to be charging a premium and are not offering as many "discount" tix.

I can fly SDF-JFK on DL for half the price of SDF-ISP on WN most of the time. Would love to see DL (via DCI) back at ISP. DL counter was still in-tact last time at ISP.

Back to the topic, yes, CVG is in Kentucky as others have said, thus the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Intl Airport. Northern Kentucky makes up the greater Cincinnati area as downtown Cincinnati is on the Ohio River with Kentucky on the other side of the river.

FWIW, the greater Louisville area includes a chunk of Southern Indiana, as we're right on the Ohio River as well. SDF, however, is in Louisville.

There are a number of cities that sit on a state line with the Metro Area encompassing two states. In the case of Cinci, I believe there were some NIMBY issues and the state of Kentucky gave tax incentives to have the airport built there. I know the Senators here (McConnell R-KY) and (Bunning R-KY) take an interest in Northern Kentucky and jobs at CVG.

The future of CVG will be interesting to follow, but I've heard there is significant political pressure to keep DL there.
