Many airports take advantage of being in the metropolitan area of a big city and use the name. At least CVG's proper name is recognizes where it is located Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.
Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport is not located in Balitmore or Washington DC but Linthicum, MD.
LA - Ontario International Airport isn't in LA County but San Bernardino County, CA.
Manchester Boston Regional Airport is similar to CVG, it is in New Hampshire.
