I totally agree.
One of my favorite award is the Holiday Inn Marina del Rey in Los Angeles, near Venice Beach

It's priced around 80 to 90 dollars, and you get it for 10 000 points.
Makes around 0,8 cents per point.


But we have the same strange things with airline rewards : miles are not having te same value depending if you fly your reward coach or biz.
