I've had some problems in the past where i booked tickets before i had passed a status mile mark. Once you have a mileage plan # associated with an itinerary, it doesn't keep "checking". Even something ticketed 7 months in advance in one of my cases.

You will have to have someone remove and re-apply the mileage number to the reservation.
