Yet Another Baggage Question (Piece Concept over Weight)

Situation: I really want to get a piece concept rule over the weight concept.
Location: NRT
Destination: SIN
Passengers:2 (1k+*S)

Problem: I am in NRT with 4 suitcases totaling 105kg of luggage.
Itinerary: UA metal, NRT-SIN Stopover SIN-IAD-NRT
Precedent: SQ metal, LAX-NRT Stopover NRT-SGN Stopover SGN-SIN-LAX (5 @ 23kg each)

In the past with a stopover in NRT, I have been able to show them my Itin connecting to North America and get them to honour the piece concept.

What would be the right approach / strategy to ensure I get the piece concept. Last time I checked in at the *Gold line at NRT (NH Staffed) they at first told me I get 20kg*2 (Weight Concept) I argued and showed them I have LAX on my itin, they relented.

Was that a one off, or can I again show them I have IAD on my itin, and get the piece concept? Is there a UA staffed 1k line, I will have better or worse luck with?

Bag 1: 30kg
Bag 2: 23kg
Bag 3: 25kg
Box 4: 25kg

So I am under the 3@32, and 2@23 rule.
