Aeroplan has made huge improvements.

I think we are forgetting how bad aeroplan was...

1. Aeroplan has made massive improvements to its call centers. Basic members had to wait a very LONG time to get an agent.. thats GONE.

2. We also had very few " award" flights available, now for more miles we have a lot more options. So within reason thats a huge improvement.

3. More award options RTW etc are another big +

4. Using points for toasters

Really we on FT make fun of it, but to be fair a lot of us know our friends who collect Aeroplan points like that option.

5. also for me a MASSIVE + was the new way to look for reward tickets. Compared to the OLD system this is a 1000% improvement.

Aeroplan is better today than it was years ago but we pay big$$$ for it. I guess when you collect miles thats a decision you need to make. What program gives the best value.
