I have never stayed there, but did walk by on a trip to Manchester a few years ago. It is one of those grand old hotels of Victorian vintage, renovated in the past decade to modern standards, but maintaining the original character. It is a block from the main city square, and the LRT trains to just about everywhere, two blocks from the main shopping district, and three from Granada Studios [and Coronation Street].
