I'm partial to clementines and mandarins, especially satsumas. Satsumas are grown in AL, but are all sold to school cafeterias so if you want a local one, you have to be in school. I planted a Washington navel when I lived in CA, but left before it was mature enough to bear fruit. I don't picture myself living in citrus country again, even after retirement. But, it was nice to live in FL and eat free citrus every day - the trucks full of oranges on their way to the juice producers would spill their surplus at every corner they took too fast!
