I have been staying recently at the Crowne Plaza in Silicon Valley (the company I am doing work for is the Company of the Month at this hotel so we are being "requested" to patronize this hotel).

I have asked if PC elite members can access the club floor and partake in the continental breakfast and evening drinks. The response, "access to the 12th floor costs $10 extra. We do not provide complimentary access to the Club floor for PC members." So it appears that being a PC Plutonium means zilch at this hotel.

Too bad, because as a SPG Platinum (or even just a lowly Hilton Gold) I have never been denied access to the club floor, even if I am not staying on a club floor room. After staying at this hotel for the "Company of the Month" promotion, I am back to Starwood properties.
