BA do give some corporate customers the benefit of seat allocation irrespective of the passenger's status. So it may well be the case that your TA has this benefit.
Our corporate TA has this arrangement with BA but funnily its never been communicated to staff so they hardly ever assign themselves seats. All the more for us!!
