Very poorly researched...

For several months, Thornton recalls receiving hundreds of miniature baseball bats from Louisville International Airport in Kentucky. They found a nice home for the bats at the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory.
That immediately made me think what a great profit center for the museum. Sell a bat, then sell it again after TSA sends it back to them. Then I saw a comment...

I'm the VP of Corp. Comm. for Louisville Slugger which operates the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory. The story's claim that TSA "...found a nice home..." at our museum for bats they confiscate is not accurate. TSA in Louisville confiscates mini bats that our guests get on a bat factory tour. We tell our flying guests to put their souvenir bats in checked luggage, but many forget. We've spoken with TSA about buying back the mini bats but there were too many stipulations. At one point we asked TSA if they would donate the bats to kids' charities. We don't know if they ever acted on that suggestion. less
