BA do give some corporate customers the benefit of seat allocation irrespective of the passenger's status. So it may well be the case that your TA has this benefit.
This is probably the case - that's the only reason I can preselect seats on business related flights!
It's a great plus, but also a great minus in the inability to MFU!
