I'm a Gold in central NJ who has long since stopped the trek to Newark and will drive the extra 1/2 hour to Philly for the better shot at the upgrade. In the past year I can't recall a time I haven't secured one (and its normally issued 2 days out instead of biting my nails sitting @ Terminal C and ending up dissapointed). Talking to others, it's might seem I've been a bit lucky even at Philly so my question is: if I have flexibility on my departure times (or even days), what time/day of the week gives me the best continued shot for the upgrade?
