I took it from the rental car center to terminal C yesterday and not only did we get stuck between stations for about five minutes, the train waited at every station with the doors open for about five minutes. It took forever to get to terminal C.
Also, last week I tried to take it from C to the EWR train station and, after getting stuck between C and P4, the whole system shut down and we had to go from P4 to the train station via bus. This joke of a public transit system combined with the long taxi times into Manhattan during rush periods has me seriously reconsidering EWR as a viable option for travel to NYC.
Yeah...I got stuck in it on Friday and Sunday. They are resurfacing the tracks (they were working on the southern side track between P4 and NJT on Friday) so they are running the trains in a split routes arrangement, more slowly than usual and with more stops since they are only using one side of the P4 station in some cases. It is was easily an extra 10-20 minutes each way between the NJT and C. I really think they should put a notice on their daily operations page (not that anyone checks it all that often, but still!) but my tweet last night went unanswered.
