I just booked ORD-TLV via ATL on Dec 10 and returning on Dec 26.

My questions are :

I could not book a later departure then 3:00 PM departure from Chicago, which is scheduled to arrive on 6:10 PM to ATL and the flight to TLV arrives at 10:45 PM. I have 4 and a half hours with a 5 year old kid to pass.

While this is fine bearing in mind December so extra buffer is warrented. I'd rather get to TLV then stay in Atlanta for the next flight. However, I want for some ideas what to do with a kid for 2-3 hours in early evening hours.

Also anyone with experience with the kid meal is it worth it ? or stick to the regular meal.

I also have celiac so ordered Gluten free meal ? Anyone used them ? Are they good and you felt ok after eating them. I heard horror stories about being in a long plane ride feeling bad, because the GF meal was not gluten free.

Also how does Delta board in what order in domestic ? Are there a lot of issues with not being able to fit luggage in overhead bins in MD88.
