Post 245 TPs required and one spare weekend

Following on from here where I hijacked another thread (MODS - please feel free to split my bit off and add it to this) I am now seriously considering wasting a few hundred pounds (even my wife says, it would be a shame not to get a shiny gold card!) to get 245 TPs. We were going to spend a night in Vegas on our forthcoming trip to New York - which would have cost me £730 (x2) and netted 360 TPs, but that is off (haven't got the time - only in New York for a couple of days).

Anyway, as well as the suggestion from heartybob (£469.50 for 245 TPs from LGW)

LGW 08:20 BOD 10:55
BOD 11:55 LGW 12:25
LGW 14:50 MAN 15:50
MAN 16:25 LGW 17:25
LGW 19:20 BLQ 22:25
<overnight>
BLQ 06:40 LGW 07:50
LGW 11:55 JER 13:00

Plus an economy flight home to LGW

I have also found (£633.60 for 245 TPs from LHR)

LHR 07:25 DUS 09:50
DUS 10:50 LHR 11:25
LHR 13:40 MAN 14:40
MAN 15:30 LHR 16:30
LHR 18:00 AMS 20:15
<overnight>
AMS 10:40 LHR 11:00
LHR 12:55 CDG 15:10

Plus an economy flight home to LHR

Both booked via AA.com

Which of these would be preferable in terms of any problems with connection times? Will any of those be problematic (especially the 35 minutes domestic/domestic connection in MAN)? I'd rather go from LHR and I'd rather spend the night in AMS - though it is 33% more expensive.

Any other suggestions gladly received.
