I had a US immigration search in ATL but frankly I deserved it. Here is why:
- I was unemployed
- I didn't purchase my own ticket (someone with a different last name did)
- I booked the flight last minute 'ish
- I was visiting the US for romantic reasons (read: Automatic immigration risk)
- I didn't have enough money to fund my stay well

My ATS score was SO high that:
- I got a body search, full bag search, and "interviewed" (read: interrogated) by US immigration
- Checked bag searched by US customs (2 minutes after immigration)
- Checked bag searched AGAIN between my connection (within my 2 hrs in ATL - found a piece of paper in my bag)
- Couldn't check in electronically on either outgoing or incoming flights (Delta)
- Got questioned by Delta on outgoing ("Who purchased this ticket?", "Why are you visiting the US?" and the check in agent had to check with his boss when I tried to check in *cough*)
- Had to verify my passport on my return connection back to ATL before they would let me board my local flight

It was a fun trip

The worst part about it however, apart from THREE bag searches within three hours, was the idiot immigration guy looking though my digital camera's photos and asking me moronic questions that had NOTHING to do with immigration.

Also US immigration have no understanding of US immigration law.
