Palau=great diving, not great beaches !
Phu-Quoc is a pain to get to and overrun with German Tourists on 1 month holidays.
Thailand has fine beaches, as does Malaysia.
I have heard that Hainan is nice place ,but have never been!
Sadly the Maldives are far but not too bad on a non-stop (8 hours).
