Cheese factory is a must -- this isn't just any diary, this is Tillamook -- their cheese and ice cream is rarely seen outside the Pacific NW but it's outstanding.

+1 on the Newport recommendation, great little town. Further down the coast, there is a killer golf course in Bandon, but it's expensive. Oregon dunes near Florence are also supposed to great, though I've never been.
