We are not sure, after the problems with the wheels, they discovered that they forgot to do brake maintenance at some cars (around 75%). Even the CO of the s-bahn can't (or won't) answer this question.
However for your stay you don't need to worry about this, since the city center is well covered by the underground and to reach it from SXF the train is more convenient. TXL is only connected by bus to the city center (which takes 20min), so you don't need to worry about this.
