Like I said, if it was busy, I wouldn't even ask. And DullesJason says the system is set up to exclude even trying to pay with miles on a non-qualifying fare bucket in the first place. So guess I'll just try and make the best of a very long flight on my least-favorite long-distance plane (in Y).
