This is the old lower levels, but wow even back then DL had nearly double the market (vs. other airlines) award levels out of HI to Asia... quite silly how it's the same award mileage required for a ~$400 revenue, 6-8 hour flight (HI-Asia) vs ~$1500+ revenue 20+ hour set of 3 flights (HI-Europe).
Oh well, good that I used up some 200,000 of my WorldPerks now for four WBC flights to Asia for later this year and next year, then with DL will just book award flights HI to Europe and such where it's a more decent value (though of course those are never available at low..).. just still I don't get it how can Delta not look at the competitive market or the flight distance, typical revenue ticket, and costs when determening award levels, and HI to Asia for 6 h flight is more miles than east coast US to Asia for 15+h set of flights. But I am sure that the DL management is "smarter than the rest of us" and that there is something they know and we don't...

like that fuel and operations for a 6h direct fight out of Hawaii cost more than the same for two flights 15+ hours together out of east coast US to Asia.
