As far as NA properties I really dont bother to put the 2 person notification unless I think i might really need to get to my room quickly. The request for an additional breakfast coupon can be made at the front desk and as far as I can tell not many places charge extra for the extra guest. Plus if the hotel has a lounge the the breakfast coupon topic is moot.

However with European hotels where the second person charge can be significant I usually make it a point to do so.

The room charge for an additional person is one area where the Starwood program is at a distinct disadvantage with Hilton.
