I did this recently on a Samsung N110 that I got for $369 in the US. They are still well over £300.

You can also change the language of your spell check's dictionary from Yankee to English. On Word, insert the CD back in your machine, go to Tools, Language, and set the language to UK English. My wife has to write some of her reports on A4 in UK English and goes back and forth. I think she has the dictionary switch hooked to her template. If the keyboard gets to you, it is probably not worth the savings. If it is only the missing pound or Euro symbol, you can create those with the Autotext function or a Macro in most MS products. You could also change keyboards and/or get decals, but that is a personal decision.
