I have aTravelPro 'lite' rollaboard already. This might be a good addition.

Has anyone else had experience they can share with the TravelPro 5 22" rollaboard - in terms of useability, being acceptable size on European mainlin & LCC flights, in addition to other international travel?

I'm considering it as a gift to an elderly relative. Or myself.

It's Crew7 now and Plat6. Plat6 just came out this summer and is a step backwards in design, in my opinion. The Plat5 roller is one of the best engineered and thought-out rollers on the market, period! At that price, total no brainer. Color is nice, too. I am not sure if this is the 22" model. I think, but I am not sure, that there was a slightly smaller 21" model. Strange product decision maybe. Does it have a suiter? Perhaps that's the difference between the models.

Anyway, in the US, Travelpro honors their life-time (incl. airline damage) warranty on the Plat5 series even if you bought it on discount. This alone makes the case a steal.

I'd not think twice. These things go lightning fast and I think my review might have been contributing to this because it pops up as one of the first results in google when you search for reviews of that model.
