Just be sure to throw the box away in the US, and make sure the machine doesn't look new (which also means putting manuals and CD's in an envelope and mailing them home. Otherwise you run the risk of your home county asking for duty paid on the machine.

Obviously, this isn't an issue on a $200 netbook, but on a $2000 Macbook, it could hurt.
