If you booked with miles I doubt you will be able to book with money.
If you booked with money and either on BA.com or through a BA call centre I would not wait any longer. Call BA reservations immediately and tell them you want to buy an upgrade. The agent will be able to tell you about all the additional costs in a matter of seconds, once they have got your flight details.
If you booked through a third party travel agent call them immediately and they will be able to tell you in a matter of seconds too.
