I've asked this over in the ANA forum sections however i realise now here would be better.

I'm weighting up my options to go on a couple of mileage runs. I am trying to retain my status this year and for the shear fun of it with ANA or another star alliance carrier whilst take a couple brief vacations.

From my research it would appear that flying ANA internationally seems to be the cheapest and best value for money. Flying on Super Eco-wari (70% mileage) seem to be reasonable with rates around 66,000- 74,000 yen (about $720- 810 US) return for NRT - LHR and NRT to IAD which are as far as ANA stretches. As far as i can tell flying any other star alliance partners is more expensive.

I'm looking to make a run before December and a couple more during early next year.
