I just looked at AA.com for a (domestic) direct flight that I have in a couple weeks and notice that I have two different seats; both flights show up on their own line on AA.com, just like they were two unique flights.

Not sure if this is a glitch, but it appears that you can have two different seats on a one-stop direct flight.
