I did not want to advocate a stop in NYC but rather point out that there's more money in the NYC area than BOS or the often speculated IAD.
United etc. offer premium service between LAX/SFO and NYC because enough people in NYC can afford the premium (service). The same people can afford to pay a premium to fly the A380 in the front (or upper ) cabins.
