Be sure to drive to/through Astoria along the Columbia river and to where it hits the Pacific, then just follow 101 south along the coast through all the towns. I'd suggest just googling for oregon coast maps and destinations because there is a lot of info and lots to see with the rugged coastline and small towns. Definitely beautiful driving through the mountains and along the coast. Stop by Tillamook and take a tour of the cheese factory. Sounds funny but its kinda cool, and very tasty with the cheese and icecream!

If you're up for a little hiking or even walking around, just stop at one of the many scenic points and go walk along one of the trails.
