OP again here.

I was with my wife (going on 1 year in November!) during this whole ordeal. She was the main reason why I didn't file a complaint with a supervisor on the spot. If she wasn't there I probably would have but she is far too forgiving, which definitely isn't always a bad thing.

The apology at the end was more about justifying the mistake than apology IMO. She said I just looked so young to have a lifetime PC membership and that the screen that she saw at first said that I was a member since 1989.

At any rate I think I'm going to live and let live just because I don't see any purpose in getting a 2nd (even if it were to be more sincere) apology.
