I am planning to fly to the US for my honeymoon. We are looking to fly BA business class ( my father has kindly donated a huge amount of airmiles)
Just a few questions though.. i see on BA website they have the "new club world" how new is this when were planes refittted?
also what are the difference between new club world and the existing club world (as i also read on ba site not all routes have the new club world cabin fitted)
my 2nd question is airport. which is a better airport to fly from (for BA) gatwick or heathrow (in term of the lounges etc) which is better and why?
As my only snag is i think if i fly from heathrow i need a connecting flight whereas gatwick is direct Miami - Orlando)
Thanks

Hi Grantsmith
Welcome to the BA board on FT.
If you don't fly much, or if you don't fly BA J (Club World) much/ever, you will be very happy with it whether you get New New Club World (NGCW) or Old New Club World (NCW), so I would go with the best route for what you want to do.
The lounges at LHR are "better" than LGW, as is the shopping (as previous post), but again, I'm sure you'll be very happy with whichever you choose.
Congrats to you and Mrs Smith on your forthcoming nuptuals.
(BTW, if your Dad has lots of miles, he may also have "status" (ie. Gold or Silver BAEC) it may be worthwhile him calling his service center and asking them to "look after you" on your honeymoon - you never know, and F Op-Up may be in the offing (but don't expect it!!)
Enjoy your trip.
