Gate re-aligns are over rated. A few months ago on a NWA-NWA connection in the Detroilet, it took me 41 minutes to get from 1 gate to the next, and even in Charlotte it was about 30 minutes to get a US-US connection (granted my shoulder bag weighed 50+ pounds which slowed me a bit)
