An inexperienced traveller trying to learn the right way of doing things.

So I'm having a lot of questions lately, I'm sure some people might be noticing all my different questions in the forum. That all is coming from the fact that my amount of traveling has been increasing from previous year and I expect it to keep going up, so I'm trying to get a better understanding and knowing of what works for everyone on different levels. My questions come from I guess a level of inexperience, age and trying to save money. But I've always been a believer that good service comes at a cost and it should be rewarded, although I don't think I can afford anything higher than economy really.

I'm 27, Most of my traveling is international (excluding my trips to vegas), it might not be much but in the last 5 years I've had 1 international flight a year, where in the previous 22 years of my life i had a total of 5 or 6 lol. anyways, the number of international trip, will be going up to 2 or 3 a year, for personal trips.

All of this is to ask, where do you guys get your tickets, do u guys have agents you call, do u guys just go to airline sites, those cheap sites out there? do you guys stick to one airline as much as you can to gain the most points? what are your secrets.

The reason I ask, is because i have no status with any airlines, on every trip i take different airlines depending on what has been the cheapest, but as life gets more complicated and I grow up, you gotta plan for the future and take advantages of deals that might be out there.

For all that answer thanks for your help.
