Thank you for the responses. Just to clarify, the TSA employee was first upset that I had 2 bags. I told her the second bag contained contact lens solution which is exempt from the 3.4 oz, 1 bag rule (I could bring 12 oz and put it in a gallon size bag if I want because it is exempt but I bring small 2 oz containers and put them in a separate quart bag.) She still insisted I was only allowed one bag, completely ignoring my statement that the solution was exempt. After I told her to read the rules, she challenged me on having other stuff (non-liquids) in the bag. OK, fine, my bad for trying to save the environment just a bit and try to cut down on the number of plastic bags I use. Next time, I'll keep my solution all by itself. Either way, her tantrum was unwarranted and not appreciated.
