I think the quiz is a good thing - think of AF 358. Everyone walked away to fly another day - it could have been a true disaster.

The only time I felt somewhat irked was when an Eagle FA got in my face and began shouting at me. I calmly told her I had read the safety card, that I was a trained rescue diver and had advanced first aid (including AED) and oxygen administration qualifications - at which point she turned 180 degrees and began hounding the hapless chap in the window / egress hatch seat across the aisle.
