On an RJ from ORD-CLT a few weeks ago and had the information card open looking it over as the FA came over and informed me that I was sitting at an emergency exit and asked if I would be able assist in case of an emergency.

I looked at her and nodded.

She said "Sir, I need to hear a yes or a no."

So I gave her a yes.

(Not complaining, just stating what happened)
