I have the Visa only because I already have an Amex card and I like collecting MR points. I have the Visa card so I can earn points at places that don't take Amex.
I guess the answer depends on what other cards you have and what program you wish to earn points in. All other things being equal, you get more points with the Amex card so if HH is the program for you then you're better off with that card. As the previous poster noted, it might be a good idea to get both.
