AmEx: Better earnings (5 points per $ spent at HH properties, 3 points elsewhere), less acceptance.

VISA: Lower earnings (3 points per $ spent at HH properties, 2 points elsewhere), better acceptance.

Neither has an annual fee. Why not have both?
