Has this ever happened if someone is jealous? I read some article on this that someone did this. What is your views on this and has this ever happened to you where someone else canceled your airline reservation without your knowledge and you were all packed to go passports and everything and you arrived at the airport only to find out that your reservation does not exists.
How would you reinstate your reservation? Would you need to pay additional fees and loose the value of a non-refundable Y ticket? How could you prove who canceled the reservation? If this was a short tour how could you find a flight to make it on the tour without loosing precious time if the flights are full and you paid for the tour?
Any ideas?
Sounds like fraudulent representation and that means the person doing as you suggest could well open the door to being subject to civil and/or criminal penalties (depending on the jurisdiction).
There are numerous ways to try to figure out who cancelled the reservation, including some ways which may ordinarily be considered too cumbersome but nevertheless possible.
