Did you check the cancellation deadline on your award reservation? If it was a points breaks for 5K points each night then another poster reported that the IC Vienna slapped a lengthy cancellation period on these reservations which was somethig like 30days.

If you got one of those and similar cancellation conditions and IF it should be too late to cancel then you will be charged the first night at the best flexible rate. Something to check & consider if true. On the other hand you may still be able to cancel without penalty in which case it is back to is an exec Suite worth a leave without pay? Well I don't know your salary and what it means broken down to daily chunks but that is something I would take into account. yes the suite is nice but you got to weigh the pros and cons.
