Don't think either of us are wrong. From a comment posted by Gaza:

"The Metropole can be a bit confusing. The West Wing is the new(ish) bit. The East Wing has the Executive Rooms. And The Tower has the standard rooms."

I took a room in the East Wing as it's closer to the executive lounge, I was travelling alone, and prefer the executive rooms. Seems the family club rooms, suites and apartments are in the west wing.
