OK I'm back from my trip to London so I want to put my 2 cents (2 pence?) worth into this thread.

London Green Park (booked via hilton.com)

As Gold I was upgraded before I arrived. The staff were friendly and I was given a "deluxe room" on the 4th (top) floor. Yes, the floor sloped a little bit, and the decor was faded but I found the room absolutely fine, specially for the 79 pounds price inc. breakfast (which was filling the next morning). I don't know if I would have got the breakfast free as a gold though (I didn't ask). The only downside for me was they promised a paper but it was never delivered, but that was no big deal. The location just 3 streets away from the tube line is excellent in a nice area near Green Park, and all in all I couldn't complain. I wouldn't pay over 90 pounds a night for this property though, but 79 inc a big english breakfast buffet was fine I felt. Credit appeared online when I returned.

Hilton Paddington (booked via londontown.com)

Very nice property. Because I booked via londontown my HH number wasn't there but I gave my card on checkin and was offered an upgrade to a deluxe room (which was very nice, west facing room on the 5th floor). Breakfast offered free (but I had an early flight so skipped it) and paper (Times) delivered as promised. Very nice room although the steps down to the bathroom were a bit novel - wouldn't want to trip during the night. Very comfortable bed and quiet room and area. Very easy and quick checkout and down to the Heathrow Express in about 5 minutes. No credit yet on hilton.com. I paid 90 pounds for the night including VAT (vs. 107 on hilton.com). Well worth it for this nice property!

I'd stay at either property again.
