Two more problems. I got the receipt from "Netdirect". It doesn't show the breakdown between the "rate" and "taxes". It just gives a "total" which matches my original confirmation. Since my maximum
reimbursement depends on the rate before taxes, this (in principle) matters. Also, the date and place of my stay, which is prominent on most hotel receipts, is quite difficult to discern from this one.
But more interestingly, the rate on my "hilton.com" folio" was about 5% lower than the rate on my reservation confirmation and email. Thus I got about 30 less Hhonors points than I would have expected. While this is clearly not a big deal, if someone was planning a trip to get above a certain threshold, it could be exceedingly annoying. I called and the phone agent couldn't (or wouldn't) explain any of this.
I have faxed my questions into Netdirect and we'll see if I get answers.
