Looking at the last AA Timetable and comparing to AA.com for a couple of random dates in Nov, it seems that many (all) Eagle flights that were previously numbered 47## have been renumbered. I suppose that 'codeshare number compression' could refer to Eagle flights technically being considered codeshares.
