Another thing I forgot to mention.

If I remember correctly the LHR-MIA flights (2 per day?) leave in the morning and it may be that the only shuttle early enough to make the connection is full for some reason. This happened to me and I had to go 1 day earlier than I had initially hoped. If that is the case a 1 night stop over may work best; obviously only if it fits your plans.
