I dont think it is all that bizarre , it is probably at least partly because only 3 or 4 QF aircraft ( the A380s) have lie-flat beds in J , the rest still have the old first generation sloped skybeds- when I look at the list of airlines which won in J class most of them have a substantial portion ( if not all ) of their longhaul fleet with lie flat in J . I imagine that if QF start phasing out the obsolete product then their rankings will improve as their service in longhaul J is pretty good
