Agree completely. Hotels seem to be getting better about locating outlets by the desks, at least, but why is it so hard to have an available outlet by the bed?

re: Monster cables, they work and are high quality, but are WAY overpriced, imo.

edit: just checked portable power strips on amazon and it looks like the going rate for the monster or similar is in the $10-20 range, so the monster cable price is not out of line, at least. i'd go for one which also has USB ports.
